Glacier lost power at 5 am on 12/26/21 Sunday morning. The power was not restored until 12/27, Monday at 10 am. Temperatures dropped to 6 degrees Fahrenheit. The Snowater maintenance crew worked non-stop on Christmas day to keep the Snowater drive clear and safe for holiday owners and their guests.
Here is one owner’s comment and pictured shared at the Snowater Owners Association Facebook group: “I left on 12/23 at 9:30am, intending to return that same night. I set my propane fireplace at 65°. Because of the black ice, the the snow, wind and dropping temps, I did not return ’til today at 1:30pm. The power outage was 29 hours long. Overnight temps and with the wind chill factors caused the temps to drop below zero for two nights. I was so surprised when I walked into my condo and the thermostats read 60°. I did not leave any of my faucets at a trickle because I thought I’d be home on 12/23. Go figure, I’m in an end unit and felt very fortunate the everything was in reasonable shape, including the parking lots and roads into Snowater. This maintenance crew did a knock out job staying ahead of a 20″ snowfall base. Thanks so very much to the entire crew!!” Janelle G., 600 Lulu Building
